Sensei Jeff Laurell

Sensei Jeff Laurell has been involved in Judo for most of his life. Sensei Jeff has a background in both nation and international competition, has served as an assistant coach at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and has coached athletes competing in mixed martial arts.

When not on the mat, Sensei Jeff can be found snowboarding in one of the great Colorado ski resorts, playing paintball with the Suzuran students, or out hunting for that elusive elk.

Sensei Amy Laurell
Sensei Amy Laurell

After a fierce competitive career in the highest levels of Judo, Sensei Amy Laurell server as an assistant coach at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Sensei Amy is now sharing her knowledge with the students at the Suzuran Dojo.

Being an avid snowboarder, Sensei Amy can be found zooming down one of the many snow-covered slopes in Colorado when the opportunity presents itself.

 

 

 


Sensei Scott Gillingham

Sensei Scott Gillingham (or “Uncle Scott” as the Suzuran students call him) is one of the first black belts out of the Suzuran Dojo.

Assisting Sensei Jeff and Sensei Amy, Sensei Scott is often found introducing new students to the noble art of Judo or rolling around the mat with the more experienced students.
